My Go-Green Tote

I have plenty of jute bags for my shopping loots. I always make it a point to use a jute or canvass bag in the malls and refuse the use of plastic bags. Here's one of my latest canvass bag which I used recently during my trip to Bangkok. The wide interiors and unobstructed style is really amazing. I can put my entire bedroom inside...LOL! Now, now, I'm just kidding on the latter.

Chunky Heeled-Shoes

I am not an avid high-heel wearer but don't mind wearing once in a while because of my height. I a small ankle but a wide foot so I cannot wear stiletto heels. I make sure that I buy chunky heeled-shoes so the heels can support my weight even if it's high heels. Also, I feel comfortable balancing with a chunky high-heels. Here are few of my fave designs:

Make-up Tip 101: Lip Gloss

I am one of the few who uses colored lip gloss as a lipstick as well. I try not to limit the wonders of what a small tube of colored or tinted lip gloss can do. For example, your lip gloss can act as moisturizer, lipstick or even to perk up your pale-cheeks.

Shopping Tip 101 - Shoe Sizes

When buying shoes, do not stick to the shoe size alone as your primary criteria when choosing the right shoes. A size 8 in one shoe may be a size bigger in another. Don't be afraid to go one size up or down when choosing your shoes. Remember, choose comfort over and above other things.

Shopping Tip 101 - On Cotton

Cotton is the coolest fabric ever and is great for summer sweaters. However, cotton knits do not retain their shape well so consider garments that blend cotton with spandex.

Winter Fashion Sense

I know a lot of people do not like winter but I am not one of them ;) They say it's so gloomy, bleak, gray and downright negative. I cannot dispute those facts but one thing I love about the cold weather is that I get to see a lot of fashionable winter colors like browns, grays, blacks amongst the crowd and the winter wear are simply amazing like thermal leggings and high boots. Not to mention the skinny scarves and trench coats.

Here's why we still have to look neat-o during winter. I know it is all about keeping warm and layering yourself. Then do so with a flair =)

Broken Beauty

I have nothing against plastic surgery or people who undergo the procedure either for aesthetic reasons or because of an accident or health issues. I just find it rather disturbing when something so natural is made artificial, in this case, our God-given beauty. Like I said, there are reasons why other people resort to this but beauty alone is just not skin deep. See the pictures below which I got from a forwarded email of a friend. Prior to posting this article, I checked the veracity of the article and did have plenty of hits on the subject person.

Han Mi Ok is a Korean celebrity and became known as the Fan Lady after her plastic surgeries' fiasco. She even administered injection at home! Below is how she looked like prior to the operations. I do find her pretty and cannot see why she had to change her looks when she already looked good.

This is her after the quack operations which bad.

This is her "now" after the reconstructive surgeries. She just ruined what God has given her - a beautiful face.

I salute her bravado for showing her face to the public even after the numerous reconstructive operations to salvage whatever is left of her "once pretty" face. I guess it's really true when they say, "when it ain't broken, don't fix it!"
